Level-2P Derived products from SWIM instrument of CFOSAT

Type of dataset: Level-2P Derived products from SWIM instrument of CFOSAT

Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs):

Condition of access: Level-2P Derived products from SWIM instrument of CFOSAT is distributed by AVISO under standard AVISO+ license agreement.

Use: Ocean circulation, current component, wave current

Description: Stokes drift product estimated from SWIM spectrum and modelling. The Stokes drift is the lagrangian mean flow vector under the action of surface waves solely. It is mostly significant at the ocean surface, but can be significant down to a few tens of meters below the surface. The product also contains nadir box related (nadir SWH, nadir Wind speed, angle) and off-nadir (such as the mean slope spectrum for spectral beam 10 degrees) variables.

Geographic coverage: Global

Citation: Any use of this dataset must cite its DOI 10.24400/527896/a01-2024.005 as well as the following sentence: "This Level-2P Derived product was produced by CLS in the frame of the FRench Oceanographic Ground Segment (FROGS) of the CFOSAT Mission and distributed by AVISO+ with the support of CNES."
