06.11.2025 November 2025: Hurricane Melissa observed over ocean by satellites

Caribbean Sea on 2025/10/27 with Hurricane Melissa : the large swath is Swot Significant wave heights, while the thin lines are all nadir altimeters' SWH (including Swot's). Hurricane Melissa hitted Jamaica as a Category 5 hurricane on 2025/10/28. During its whole path, satellites observed the phenomenon, including altimeters and SAR over the ocean

24.10.2025 Ex-Hurricane Erin swell on the French coasts

CFOSat Swim (left), WAM model (middle) and Swot (right) wave spectra, overlaid on SWH; and CFOSat (Swim) and Swot nadir tracks. Swot and CFOSat observed the high swell from ex-hurricane Erin when it came close to European coasts. And their measurements enabled to build 2D ocean wave spectra, with their direction, period and amplitudes.
