Contents: mean sea profile above a reference ellipsoid (WSG84). This surface is available on a regular grid with a 1/60° (1 minute) spacing (i.e. ~1.8 km at the equator).
Use: geodesy, geophysics, oceanography (operational oceanography, modeling, ocean variability studies)
Description : Mean Sea Surface product for 20-year reference period (1993-2012). The CNES CLS 25 MSS was built with the aim of exploring the use of KaRIn SWOT data to propose a next-generation MSS able to better represent short wavelengths, thereby addressing the shortcomings of state-of-the-art nadir-based MSS.
