  • cfosat.oceandatalab : allows the visualization of SWIM data (fluctuations spectra, wave spectra, nadir data) and ancillary ocean data (wave, currents, wind, ocean parameters) from model (WW3, MFWAM, ECMWF, GLOBCURENTS) and from satellite data (Copernicus Sentinel 3A, Sentinel 3B, Sentinel 1, Sentinel 2 and SWIM)
A period from 2019 august 1st to 14th is available with all SWIM data : fluctuation spectra, wave spectra, nadir data (SWH and wind)

  • xwaves.ifremer : gives a geo localized access to :
    • SWIM wave spectra quick view
    • sentinel1 (A and B) outputs quick view : Roughness, ocean swell
    • Wave Watch 3 ocean Swell

SWIM CFOSAT products first use

  • Localisation of Measurements
    • To identify the SWIM data to use for specific areas, a localization tool using google earth is available: download the user manual with the Google Earth CFOSAT file and the txt file giving the UTC starting dates of each cycle. The combined use of these two files allows the computation of CFOSAT passes over dates and times, within five to ten minutes’ precision, which should be sufficient for product selection or for campaign preparation.

  • SWIM L1A/L1B/L2 products
    • SWIM products contains many information, to simplify access to new users, the SWIM product simplified handbook document describes the mains parameters for a first use of the SWIM L1A/L1B/L2 data. In order to manipulate data available in SWIM products, associated Jupyter notebook and python scripts are available for download here.
    • To go further with the SWIM products, the SWIM Product User Guide document gives the detailed description of SWIM L1A/L1B/L2 product variables.
