Swot satellite spacecraft now complete
The satellite is entering the final verification phase of the flight system until September 2022.
Swot payload and platform were mated together to form the Swot observatory on August 11th at 12:00 AM in Thalès (Cannes, France), after a full month of checking the payload, following transportation from US to France.
The satellite is now complete and entering the final verification phase of the flight system, going through a series of functional, mechanical, electrical and thermal testing of the assembly, which will last approximately until September 2022. Then it will be flown back to US for the launch campaign.
On the ground system side, the communication between the spacecraft located in Thalès Cannes and the Satellite Control Center located in Cnes/Toulouse was tested successfully in July and system testing continues up to the launch.
