Premières formes d'onde sur rivière par l'altimètre nadir de Swot

Après le succès du lancement du satellite Swot le 16 décembre 2022, son altimètre nadir Poseidon-3C a commencé à livrer ses premières données sur l’hydrologie continentale

Après le succès du lancement du satellite Swot le 16 décembre 2022, l’altimètre nadir Poseidon-3C a commencé à délivrer ses premières données sur l’hydrologie continentale.

Les zones colorées sur la carte du haut montrent les formes d’onde acquises par l’altimètre nadir Poseidon-3C de Swot, au survol de plusieurs rivières du bassin hydrologique du Maroni en Guyane française (Amérique du Sud), le 20 janvier 2023. En bas, un zoom sur la rivière Litani, et une forme d'onde individuelle, typique de ce qu'on peut observer sur ce type de rivières.

Ces premières mesures montrent déjà les performances excellentes de Poseidon-3C en orbite. Ce premier résultat est très prometteur pour la phase de calibration/validation qui débute pour ce nouvel altimètre nadir !

Les données proviennent des produits I-GDR traités au Centre d’Expertise Swot du Cnes.

Customizable homepage

This home page is composed of blocks called "widgets".

Browsing menu and breadcrum trail

To ease your browsing through AVISO+, you can use at any time the main banner items with the interactive submenus or use the browsing menu on the left side of the screen (it is open by default). For more readiness of the page contents, you can fold and unfold the browsing menu by clicking on the tab. At any time you can know where you are thanks to the browsing menu or the breadcrum at the top of the page.

Products search guide

The first submenu of the "Data" banner item leads you to a new search form enabling you to find quickier the product that suits your needs. The list of results is updated according to your selection criteria.

AVISO+ Multimedia

The first submenu of the "Multimedia" banner item leads you to AVISO+ collections of images and videos linked to altimetry and its applications. Have a nice visit!
