Jason-1 validation report, cycle 233
Cycle date | 2008-05-02 - 2008-05-12 |
---|---|
Cycle quality | Data quality for this cycle is nominal. |
Missing data | Due to close encounter between Jason-1 and TOPEX/Poseidon, Jason-1 altimeter (Poseidon-2) was switched off for security reasons between 2008-05-07 at 17:52:42 (pass 106) and 2008-05-13 at 07:12:27 (pass 248). Therefore passes 107 to 247 are completely missing, pass 106 is almost entirely missing and pass 248 has 42.1% of missing measurements over ocean. The restart procedure of Poseidon-2 led to a data gap on 2008-05-13 between 09:13:33 and 09:18:23, resulting in 8.2% of missing ocean measurements for pss 250. |
