An article was just published in Geophysical Research Letter, "The Surface Water and Ocean Topography Mission: A Breakthrough in Radar Remote Sensing of the Ocean and Land Surface Water", by Lee-Lueng Fu, Tamlin Pavelsky, Jean-Francois Crétaux, Rosemary Morrow, J. Thomas Farrar, Parag Vaze, Pierre Sengenès, Nadya Vinogradova-Shiffer, Annick Sylvestre-Baron, Nicolas Picot, Gérald Dibarboure.
It is the first peer-reviewed article with glimpses on Swot early results, with, on the ocean side, a focus on small-scale oceanic processes. The first article of what promises to be a long series, since several other articles are currently under review, or being written. As L.L. Fu, the first author, wrote "This is just the beginning of the endeavor of exploring the tremendous opportunities in science and applications offered by Swot, which is really a treasure trove to satisfy the curiosity of explorers."
