Nouveau: Produit dérivé de niveau 2P estimé à partir de l’instrument SWIM de CFOSAT

L'équipe d'AVISO est heureuse d'annoncer la publication d'un nouveau produit: “Level-2P Derived products from SWIM instrument of CFOSAT”
This product contains mainly the stokes drift estimated from SWIM spectra. The stokes drift is the wave-induced component of the total ocean surface current.
For the first time, a spaceborne sensor can measure this component in terms of amplitude and direction. It enables to better characterize wave-current interactions, particularly in areas of highly turbulent surface energy (circumpolar zone,…).
