03.01.2024 [CFOSAT] SWIM specific acquisition sequence from 2024 January 12th to February 7th

A specific acquisition sequence of the SWIM instrument will be effective from 2024 January the 12th to February the 7th, which corresponds to CFOSAT orbital cycles 147 and 148.

During this period, the macrocycle, i.e. the sequence of beams illuminated, will be 0°, 2°, 10°, 10°, 10°, instead of the usual 0°, 2°, 4°, 6°, 8°, 10° sequence.

This specific programming of the instrument aims at getting data to analyze the impact and possibilities linked to the repeated sampling of the 10° beam on the Wave spectra and derived parameters performance.

Products will be delivered as usual during the period.

After the 7th of February, the instrument will come back to usual programming (0°, 2°, 4°, 6°, 8°, 10°).

08.11.2023 [TOPEX] release of the fully reprocessed Geophysical Data Record (GDR-F version)

Dear AVISO users,

We are pleased to announce the release of a fully reprocessed version of the TOPEX/POSEIDON Geophysical Data Record (GDR-F version).

After an exhaustive examination of all archived information from the TOPEX/POSEIDON mission by NASA and CNES teams, this product has been generated by reprocessing data from the on-board instruments and applying the current GDR-F geophysical models.

More information on reprocessing can be found in the TOPEX/POSEIDON GDR-F user handbook:

13.10.2023 [SWOT] The reprocessed SWOT 1-day orbit IGDR nadir altimeter products for the period from March 29 to July 10, 2023 are now available at AVISO.

Dear AVISO users,

The reprocessed SWOT 1-day orbit IGDR nadir altimeter products for the period from March 29 to July 10, 2023 are now available at AVISO.

Please note that some gaps remain in this reprocessed time series of IGDRs because either the raw IGDRs were not available or the available IGDRs could not be processed with the current version of the data processing software.

In addition, some outliers have been detected in this release of reprocessed 1-day orbit IGDRs and are being corrected in the processing and production of GDR data products.

However, please note that no additional 1-day orbit L2_NALT_IGDR beta pre-validated products are expected at this time.

The production of SWOT GDR products is expected to improve data availability and quality.

The public release of the SWOT GDRs is planned for the end of 2023.
